So, I took my jetski's out today. one runs great, the other, not so much. On take off, it bogs down and will almost die. I can hold it WOT and choke it real quick and it will take off and run fine. When I let off the throttle and hit it again, it bogs down. Quick hit of the choke and away it goes. After about 15 minutes of riding like that, it seemed to get better. I could stop, then take off with out choking it. It was still a little sluggish, but did go.

Just installed a used engine. Engine has good compression. Timing is correct according to the manual. Carb has been cleaned. All new fuel lines.

Any ideas what I might check? Thanks

It is a single carb. I took it apart the other day and it was actually pretty clean. I put it back together, same issue. You think a carb rebuild will solve the issue?

Get a new selector, get t rid of the inline filter and install an OEM one rebuild the carb and install new needle and seats. OSD seadoo has everything you need.

I'm going to just buy a new carburetor. Will this one work? The site I found it on says it's the right one. Mine doesn't have the by-pass hose on it.

No. That is for the newer ones with accelerator pump.
Call OSD he will get you the exact one you need.
