Tried to start first time this year. Was turning over a few times but then just seemed ti grind and not catch. I suspect the starter is the culprit. Battery is brand new and fully charged. Appreciate any advice.

I tried to jump across the solenoid but still got the buzzing sound only. Tried a new solenoid I have but same result. Took the starter out and jumped it with a battery and the gear seems to go up the shaft as it should. Teeth are a little worn but I don't know if they are worn enough to lead to the buzzing only. Not sure if a new starter will solve the problem. One thing to note I do have a lot of greenish/blue oil in the bottom of the hull. Not sure where that is coming from.

Can you turn the engine over by hand?
If the starter works out of the ski but not jumping the solenoid then you have a bad cable or connection.

The blue green oil is another issue and means that you are not running the correct oil.

Oil in bull is from the grommet allowing it to bleed past it(reservoir tank).... Remove plugs and grey splash shield and turn pto

Can you please tell me how to turn the motor over by hand? I have always used the seadoo recommended oil. It looks teal in the hull. Thanks

What color is the oil in your tank?

Remove the gray plastic cover on the back of the engine, there are two white plastic wing nuts that hold it on the black engine support. Then remove the spark plugs and roll over the white pto flywheel on the back of the engine that the driveshaft goes into
