Here is a pic of my fuel gauge on my 1997 GS. I would like to pull the gauge so I can paint the hood, so I popped it out to find it is hard wired with no quick disconnect...so cut it I must. Upon inspection of the wiring, I see there is an unused connector that is terminated. I attached a spare tach that is out of a 1998 XP cluster but it doesn't work. Not sure what that that lead is for...any idea? Is there a way to wire a tach to the GS MPEM?
