I would like to verify the operation of the water sensor on my boat. The bilge pump runs normally when I manually turn it on. How do I check that the pump turns on when water hits the sensor?
Short of filling the bilge with water, I tried to throw water on it, I tried shorting the two terminals, even unplugging it and putting a resistance across the terminals of the harness that goes to the fuse box. The service manual does have much information at all.
Does anyone have any more information?
