Sea Doo OFam
New Member
Our 1996 Seadoo GTS stopped running this weekend while we were on Lake Havasu. We were about 25 miles from the dock, so I reluctantly jump started the seadoo. The boat we used to jump from was not running when we jump started the seadoo. The jump start worked and the seadoo ran for a few minutes and then quit again. We only tried the jump start the one time as we figured the battery was probably dead. After getting it back to the house and putting in a new battery, it still would not start. Nothing - not even a click. Looked in the manual and found out about the fuses (never had to mess with fuses on this boat before as it has been bullet proof for the last eight years). Found the 5 amp fuse to be blown, but the 15 amp fuse was fine. As soon as I try to put a new 5 amp fuse in, it blows on contact! I did jump the battery terminal to the power terminal for the starter and the starter seems oaky. I am currently not employed so I am trying to fix this on my own. Any help to determine the problem is greatly appreciated - Thanks - Mike
