1996 Sea Doo Xp no power or start

I have recently purchased this 1996 sea doo xp. Rode it for 2 days and one of my buddies connected the vts system and it blew something. We immediately un hooked it and it would not turn on at all. I can jump the engine by the solenoid and everything will turn over. The key is not activating the mpem that i just purchased and installed and will not beep or turn on at all either. I have chased wires with a continuity tester to make sure there is no shorts and all passed. I checked the entire MPEM box and all checked out and all connectors. All the grounds are good and a new starter put in! I am getting close to a dead end and looking for more advise. I have also checked the mag housing and all looks good

A shorted VTS can fry the MPEM. Check all fuses and make sure the little black wire from the rear electrical box plug is connected to the battery ground.

Checked that and also put a new ground from ring from the rear to the battery. Got an new mpem off of ebay and installed and still have nothing no beep or starting unless if i jump the solenoid

Did you check the start stop button ?

Checked it with a multimeter and it showed continuity so that made me think that was working, im working right now on how to use the olms and check the entire grey box. Also replaced the starter due to the other one going bad and i double checked that i had the right positive going to the starter and battery
