Wednesday I picked up a '95 xp that had been sitting on a lift uncovered for 7 years. I picked up it for a very good price and over the past 4 days I pretty much got it back to being a very nice ski.

After going over it with a scotch brite pad, 1000 to 2500 wet sanding, polishing with flitz and 3 coats of wax

I had already got the boat running. It was FULL of fogging oil, I ended up taking an oil sucker and sucking the fogging oil ouf of the engine, took a few hours but finally got it cleaned out. Some fresh gas and she fired up. I've already replaced the fuel lines and the fuel float and put some blacktip traction mats on. Also, as soon as I hooked a good battery up to it the VTS smoked. I'm still waiting on a seat, handlebar pad cover, start/stop and vts rubbers, and a other few odds and ends.

First I went over everything with the Scotch-Brite pad to remove the oxidation, that went up in steps wet-sanding, starting at 1000 then eventually going to to 2500 , I then buffed it with a small random orbital buffer and Flitz polish, then I put a few coats of wax on it
