1995 speedester driveshaft clamps

Ok need help

I removed my pumps today but having problems with the clamp on the driveshafts. (Shafts are still in the boat.)

The manual indicates removing the SMALL oetiker clamp but the one on my drive shaft is not a oitiker type clamp, it's what the parts listing calls it a "clip clamp"... Question is how do you remove it. The manual does not discuss this type of clamp, it indicates to removed the SMALL clamp off the drive shaft using a oetiker plier PN 295-000-069.

On my application, the "clip clamp" is on the drive shaft and the Oetiker is on the flywheel.

The "clip clamp", as it turn out was easy to remove. Put a set of channel lock pliers on it, squeezed and off it came. Have the shafts out now. Don't need the Oetiker type plies unless you are replacing the boot on the flywheel.. Wish I know that before I spent the $80.00 for them... Live and learn.
