1995 seadoo cranks and runs but won't move?

We had this out on the resevoir 4 days ago, and my cousin was doing donuts, and he said that it just lost power. The ski still starts up and rev's perfectly, but in the water, it doesn't even move an inch? Any help would be greatly appeciated! :hurray:

check the intake grate and pump assy, for debris.

We actaully spent the last 3 days taking the back portion off, ( we are not mechanics and certainly not skilled sea-doo mechanics) and we discovered that the (drive shaft??) was eaten up on one end, almost like it was spun. We had alot of trouble getting through the incredible amount of silicone on the back, but when we finally did, it poured out a thick, syrup-like oil that reaked of burn? We have been checking around for this part, and it definitely isn't a cheap one, running about $150 off ebay.
