1995 Sea-Doo spi fuel issue

I have when through my ski. Carbs are clean and have put everything back together. Now when I pour premix down into the carbs it will fire up and run for a few seconds but it won’t stay running. I pour gas into the cylinders and same thing. I have replaced the fuel lines on it and everything so now I am thinking it might be the fuel pump?????

pump is part of carb Did you use 'genuine Mikuni parts???

I didn’t have to do rebuild on the carb just cleaned it. Doesn’t seem to be getting fuel unless I pour it straight into the carbs and it will fire right up for a few seconds and shuts right back off

Look for forum member mikidymac he has an excellent carb rebuild 'sticky'

You need to rebuild the carb with new parts, you can't just "clean " the carb. THe fuel pump is built into the carb and you are not pulling fuel so you risk damaging the engine if you run it on too little fuel.

Okay I am going to get a mikuni carb rebuild kit and rebuild it and see if it fixes the problem! Thanks a lot!

Make sure it is a genuine Mikuni kit, NOT WSM, SBT or Wonderosa. Also don't use the new springs in the kit and get a new needle and seat as they don't come in the kits. Here is my carb thread Carb Thread Link

Do I need to purchase the needle and seat separate? Where do I find them?

Figured it out I had the new gas lines hooked up backwards. I switched them and she started right up thank you very much
