1994 spx VTS not working????

I need help troubleshooting my 1994 SPX the VTS on this ski is not working and I do not know where to begin the troubleshooting process. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

I took mine off and took it completly apart. It was rusted inside where the motor is. I have read the main cause of failure is the boot on the outside of the ski. This was my case too. The VTS is easy to remove and its easy to get to all the parts after you have it off. Make sure you figure out what part you need so you dont have to buy the whole thing. I fixed mine a year ago and it still works as it should. Hope this helps.

I believe that the motor on this ski is located just above the gas tank in the bow of the boat. I could be wrong, so I am not sure what the boot on the outside of ski is?

The vts is in the stern of the ski or at least it is on my 1997. Mine is a worm gear that moves a arm back and forth with a shaft to the nozzle on the jet drive. I dont know how it could be in the bow when it has to move the nozzle in the stern up and down. Im not sure about a 94 but when I was looking for replacement parts for mine I thought the 94 was close to the 97.
