Hey guys! Quick question! Finishing the rebuild of my Seadoo 657 GTX and ran into another issue, she turns over but wont fire. I had an issue with it not pulling gas to the carbs before, which turned out to be the water separator o ring was bad but thought I fixed it. Now it runs, but only if I start it using premix down the carbs. Once it fires its keeps running and does great. Just wont start without a little help. Any ideas what it could be?

It should only need the choke the very first time it starts that day. The rest of the day it should fire without it.

The fuel selectors are a very common suspect for leaking air into the fuel system.

Just a follow up, it was me just being dumb! I forgot to readjust the choke line after taking this thing apart. Needless to say, adjusted it and used it and it fired right up! Shut it off and it fired up great without it! I think it's safe to say shes ready for her maiden voyage since the rebuild!! Any advice for the first run on a fresh rebuild? Knock on wood everything goes well!

Break it in correctly. First half tank under 1/3 throttle varying speed. Let cool every 15 minutes. Next half under 1/2 throttle. Next 1/2 tank under 3/4 throttle next half of second tank you can go full throttle but never hold it there.
Done.
