1993 Seadoo SP 567 - Electrical problems

I've finally got my seadoo running great... well at least I thought. It turns out it doesn't want to turn off (reason I didn't know about this was because it always died when I tried to test it before). I thought it might be the tether cord button that was sticky because it wouldn't even turn off if I took the key out. So I grabbed another one off my parts seadoo, that did not fix my problem. The stop button is also not working, but I am more worried about the key because I want it to turn off if I fall off. This is the diagram that I have been using for the electrical and by following it, it has not solved my problem. There used to be a programmable coil that the spark plugs went off of and when that was installed the key and stop button both worked.

Have you checked the ground connection from stop start switch
I had briefly checked over it earlier. It turns out the ground is attached in the electrical box but along the wiring outside of the box the wire got cut. I’ll fix that wire and make sure it is connected and hopefully that fixed the problem.
