Sorry to be a noob.....never owned a Seadoo and thought i would buy a project i could work on for the grandkids to ride.......I paid $500 for trailer and ski.....The owner told me his grandkids turned it over and prob got water in the engine and hasn't started since (prob a year or two). I got it home and took some compression readings after i turned it over several times to get all the moisture etc out of the cylinders. Also while turning it over i noticed a lot of grey goo crap spraying out of the carb. Once i got some good compression readings i sprayed some starting fluid in the cylinders and it did fire a few times. Since then I took the engine out of the hull, ordered a Carb rebuild kit removed the cover that houses the oil injector and exposes the timing plate. Upon inspecting the holes behind the timing plate which i guess is the crankshaft there is more grey oily goo muck........i tilted the engine over and naturally more crap came out........Once again....this is my first ever Seadoo so be kind.....and naturally i'd like to go the cheapest route.......Fire away!!
