hello and thanks in advance for any help you may have for me.i have a 1990 seadoo gt that i bought a few months ago.it was sitting uncovered for a few years before i bought it.it runs and when running on the water it has plenty of power and does not miss a lick.it will allways start in the driveway and run fine.and when i take it out it will start rite up and run perfect till i bring it back in for a break or to change riders.if it dies or i shut it off it will not start back up very easy usually takes between 15 minutes and a half hour to start back up and in some cases ends up just killing the battery.it will only start back up at full throttle like it is flooded????? i am new to jetskis.i do know that it is taking on some water around the shaft but do not know if that is the actual problem.i have completley cleaned out the fuel system by removing the tank and the fuel filter.it does have fresh gas and new spark plugs.im sure this is probably something simple as it runs like a top when i am driving it.i have not removed the carb yet.please any help would be great.thanks

Hope this helps

It sounds like a fuel filter might need replaced or your carb needs to be rebuilt either way good luck...

I am assuming there is a yellow 580 motor in there... I have the same thing. The carb is probably ok since it runs good once it starts, but cleaning it wont hurt. Mine has always been a pain to start as well. Every machine has its own personality and if you need to open the throttle to get it running then thats ok, mine is like that too...
