I have a 07 RXP and RXT, both had rocks get stuck in them a couple months ago and I was able to get them out and i did notice the wear ring a little scraped up but not that bad. Now, it seems like they are constantly getting weeds and rocks caught in them, but I do live in orlando and all the lakes are very low right now with no rain, so this could be the case. But now the temp light is coming on the RXT so I thought maybe it was related to that but then I noticed the coolant was empty after our last ride, then i looked at the sensor and doesnt appear to be any damage/ melting. Both skis seem to be running fine but i am worried about sinking the ski or overheating the engine if i keep running it. Also as I was heading to the dock the temp light and beeping stopped, now i know you should shut it off as soon as the beeping starts but we didnt because no one would listen to me (believe me I was pissed), so my question is how do i tell if the temp sensor is bad? and how do I know if I should take it to the shop? (Id rather not drop 2k right now and noone in orlando can be trusted) being that they still run fine and the temp sensor/ beeping stopped? Could it have just shot the rest of the debri out that may have been stuck? (I also did look at it before riding and there was nothing the eye could see and we did not get stuck in any weeds or rocks that day, and the coolant was full 2 days before). Would the sensor stop beeping if it was melted? Any help would be much appreciated!
