How much? What does it look like?

Inspection:
1) compression check
2) Run it on the water, get it warmed up. Problems show after temps are up. Check 62 to 63 mph top speed.

Condition
Did someone mention that the hours on the craft can be changed with the CanDoo?
20 hrs. Should look like brand New. 10 hr oil breakin change. The SuperCharger will need to be up graded from ceramic washers to metal.

Need more info.

Doc

That's a 10 year old ski.. As doc mentioned it should damn there look brand new at 20 legit hours.. I would take a hard look inside the engine compartment and make sure it looks "20 hours".

Check the oil on the dipstick. Wipe the dipstick with your fingers.. That oil in there should only have 10 hours on it (if the ski had its 10 hour service) and should appear like new... It should be light brown and clear..

Before kicking the engine over hold the throttle cable wide open and hit the start button for 10 seconds or so.. This will let the engine crank without actually starting and will allow some oil to coat the cylinder walls without actually starting the motor..

If I were buying the ski I would

1. Change the oil
2. Change and flush the coolant
3. Confirm you have the metal washers in the SC- I believe you do- I think it was 04 when they went to those ceramics (I have an 04 GTX SC)
4. Change the spark plugs
5. New Battery
6. Inspect the jet pump- or simply do 1-5 and after its warmed up taking it out for a WOT run.. If you don't hit 62.5 MPH or so you know you may have an impeller or wear ring issue (both simple fixes).
7. Enjoy your new ski!
