03 gti run problem

ski runs for 15 or 20 minutes then quits. Let sit for a few minutes and it will run again for a short time then quit. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks for any help.

Does it die like the lanyard was pulled or runs out of fuel and chokes?

From the top of my head...
Start with the DESS post. Clean it and check connections and wiring.
2 Fuel Selector Switch and Fuel Lines
3 Rectifier test/replacment.

Also test your battery voltage.

It sounds like it’s overheating . Verify cooling by running on the hose. Also verify oil flow. I recently had a 97 Gs do the same thing. Also as above check your charging system by running on the hose at 4000 rpms. Battery should be 13.5-14 volts

Could be vacuum building in tank because your fuel vent is not functioning properly. Check your fuel vents to make sure they are not clogged by insects and that they are functioning correctly.
