Started having a problem with my 03 gti le rfi. As soon as I start it up after about 5 seconds it goes into one long beep that never stops. No sequence just one long beep. Nothing flashes on the info center. Turn it off and it might go away for 5-10 mins then come back. Even went away for 2 plus hours then will randomly start again. Sometimes the beep will get “interrupited” then might come back or might not there’s no pattern. Again drives fine even drove it for 30 min with the beep on after everything seemed fine and still drives great. Again nothing on the info screen. Kinda lost here. Checked battery it’s all good. Possible bad ground for low voltage?

If I was getting a long continuous beep I'd look at the temperature sensor. Do you buy any chance have a quick connect fitting attached to the water discharge pipe on the ski? I find quite a few skis with this type of fitting. It restricts the water flow through the system and the ski will overheat. Give that a look and remove it if you have one. Good Luck !!

Well decided to put it away for the summer but now back at it for a winter project lol. I believe these come Stock a spot to screw on the hose. It’s overheated in the past and the a “Hi temp” message will pop up on the info screen as the beep came. Before it was put up it would immediately start one continuous beep but nothing on the info message screen. It did get some water in it possible shorted out something? Pretty lost on this one. I have changed the temp sensor still doing it.

Any ideas will help! Trying to do this myself without a shop

I think the low oil level gives a long beep about once per minute but it isn't constant. I'd download the repair manual and look at the beeper codes. I commend you for working on your own ski. Lots of shops are not thorough and they relieve you of a lot of cash and the same problem. I'm sure some people will post up. I spent an egregious amount of time on RFI's troubleshooting. They are not that complicated. You may have an over voltage issue. Check the battery and the rectifier. The ski will run with the rectifier disconnected. Good Luck !!
