02 GTX DI wont start

Ok my girlfriend 02 GTX DI (2 stroke) wont start. now i have tried almost everything under the sun to get it to start. but when i take the spark plug out of the front cylender it fires right up no problem but the second i put it back in it wont start again. Any one have an idea what might be wrong
