‘96 XP cranks as soon as battery is connected

Ski cranks as soon as battery is connected (DESS not connected to post). Already tried a new OEM solenoid. Please help!

How do I do such? Also, forgot to mention that it doesn’t crank immediately when solenoid is unplugged.

DL your maintenance manual and parts manual. I'm not sure where your connection is at but mine is routed through the steering wheel and disconnects under the hood. Mine is a two prong connector. The manuals will show you where. The DL is free.

I’ll check it out. Wasn’t sure which one of the three it would be but I guess it really doesn’t matter as I assume the other two are just for the trim switch.
