Thanks. Yes it had no seal when I removed it. I was afraid of what the previous owner may have removed. The Permatex appears to be the ticket. Thanks again.
I’ve looked through the manual and finding conflicting info. I’ve put a rubber seal around end of jet pump like my 98 GTX, but it won’t allow the pump to fit into the pump shoe. So the manual shows putting a layer of “Great Stuff” to make a seal? One pic shows a neoprene gasket but I don’t...
Nothing attaches to the oil tank check valve. The hose coming from side of hull is usually found in rear of ski and is a battery vent hose. Not used on AGM batteries.
I guess I need to look a little closer. Outside of pulling the engine, is there a way to remove the fuel baffle. I moved the gas tank to every position possible and couldn’t orient it to be able to pull the baffle. I appreciate my GTX AND GTI models that I have direct access through the glove box.
Mikidymac, is his ski a direct or fuel injection ski? I have the red and purple 98 GSX and I've added to oil pump, pump cable, injection lines and everything back that was removed. I'm rebuilding the carbs and rest of the fuel system. I didn't notice any thing special about my throttle cable...
Unless, you can find a spare MPEM, I don't think you can test spark w/o a functioning MPEM. Don't buy and aftermarket MPEM. Reach out to Etemplet on here. He may can cut you a deal on a good MPEM.
Pull off the spark plug boot. It twists back on. Cut off 1/4" of your spark plug wire to expose clean fresh copper. May fix your issue, can't hurt it for sure.
