Had the crank out. No other holes on that lobe.
And yeah no keyway. I'm looking at maybe removing the crank and pressing it off and then heating like you said.
I have a 2003 4 tech with a twisted crank gear. Looks to be off almost 3 teeth counter clockwise.
Can the gear be removed and repositioned?
Is it heated and pressed on or is it keyed.
Not much for picturesout there.
The pic is with the locking tool in place
I managed to get this one started and I think what it was is the oil had water in it which was too thick and that means the hydraulic lash adjusters under the buckets were not getting pumped up because the oil wasn't reaching there or wasn't thin enough to reach there which meant very little...
2016 spark, turns over but seems like no compression, the starts kicking on one cylinder and then the starter kicks out. Next crank has compression on one cylinder and then looses it.
Just starting to look into it.
Could the hydraulic valve buckets be pumped up too much and not relaxing...

Just want to bump this post up since the season here in Canada is starting up and this guy is at it again.
I have some more current information if anybody needs it.
Its being decked, I just dropped it off today. Have to dissassembe the head to deck it too. Not taking a chance this time.
It's weird.though, I started second guessing my abilities vs the quality of the parts vs the circumstances and I'm still not entirely sure what to blame for this.
They've always been good with this stuff, I'm going with all oem for the next build though. I wanted to try wsm out for these just to see what happened.
I'm not sure, had a head gasket failure at 100 hrs, then at 221 the middle Piston started burning oil so I took it apart expecting to see a failed oil ring. Well there was that and then I found the small aluminum balls in the lower filter and this is what i found when it was all apart. These...
