By looking at your image posted at the beginning, it shows the Emissions System as CARB. That tells me its a carburetor version.

    Seeking replacement fuel vent T-Fitting

I'm beginning to question why a tee fitting is even needed. The 5/8" line attaches to a connection on top of the fuel tank, and the smaller hose, that's tee'd to the fitting, goes to the vent line for the fuel sending unit. Both hoses simply vent the same fuel tank. I'm pondering the thought...

    Seeking replacement fuel vent T-Fitting

    Looking for a replacement plastic/nylon T-Fitting, part # 204560038, used for fuel venting of a 2001 Sportster LE. I believe its currently obsolete. 16mm x 16mm x 10mm? Male barbed tee fitting.

Old style synthetic oil versus new

And the other thing that throws ME off, the OEM synthetic oil use to come in a yellow container. The new black containers are confusing as they don't specifically say API-TC

When you replace these grey tempo lines, check for an inline restrictor that maybe added. I believe there's one inside the fuel line going to the input side of the accelerator pump.

    2001 GTX DI No Compression!

Since the engine needs work, why not try to pull it out and tear it down yourself? If you believe it's beyond economical repair, you still can part it out. There's reputable machine shops, that others here can point the way, that will bore your cylinders and supply with matching pistons...

951 Carb beginning to lose compression

Our 2001 - 951 carb compression readings have always been 135 psi until a couple of months ago. It's currently reading about 105-110 psi on both cylinders, but still starts and runs great as usual. Any advice what direction do I go from here? Keep going? Time for a top-end rebuild?

    951 counterballance rebuild

Was SKF bearing always installed originally? Im about to order bearings, and considering these shafts spin at 6000-7000 rpm you want something that can take the punishment. Anybody can supply a shaft with "new bearings" installed but if they're cheap no names, it's only a matter of a few...

951 Carb Balance shaft: Rebuild or Replace?

I'm considering options to rebuild my 951 Carb engine belonging to our 2001 Sportster boat. One of my many thoughts is whether to rebuild the balance shaft, or buy a complete WSM aftermarket. The cost of bearing and seals will be almost equal to the cost of an aftermarket shaft. But...are...

    Need help with carb adjustment

Mine was happening because of comment #7. The gasket was very thin material to start with. Found out during my recent carb overhaul you could obviously notice the squish pattern of the base gasket, there was a small area not compressed and allowing air to pass.
