Here is my vintage Hauler for my SeaDoo. I stored it away 5 yrs ago, outside in a tent here in Florida. It hasn't been driven till now. It's a 1988 Dodge Dakota, long bed, 4x4, v6, 3.9 liter engine, automatic, with a special made class IV hitch. It has only 36,000 miles on it now as I purchased new in its year. The paint I did with House Of Kolars paint back in 1995, valued at the time at $5000.00 This truck was a 1996 calender truck for a company called "Lund Industries", who fabricated fiberglass accessories for the automotive industry. I gave it a quick wash and made it drivable after removing the rats nest and replacing all the major tune up items necessary to fire it up. The hauler spent 3 days up on my lift at work bringing everything under the body current. I plan to detail the bodywork and touch up a couple small rust spots to make it gleam again. The interior has a silver tufted headliner with 2 new high back bucket seats silver material and leather mixed. My wife and I drove it to Florida on our honeymoon back in 1989, when we lived in upstate N.Y. I used it to pull my Kawasaki stand up race ski's for 2 years of competition. It might not be the newest seadoo hauler around, but it's got some great memories still under it's hood.

Now that is a nice truck.
It dont mater how old it is.
Its what it can do for you that counts. Paint job sets it off well.

Ive been looking at getting one of those Dodge Rams. (Dieselman has one) Reason being it has 6 seats and 4 wheel drive. The bed on the back comes in handy for my house renovation work.
Im not able to source one yet or persuade the Wife to go for one, because of the left hand drive and price of them. So the old Mitsubishi Pajero has to make doo for now.

Price of the toys!....

You know, they say the way to tell the difference between a man and a boy, is by the price of their toys............I'm only 8 years old!......

Hey Karl,! those christmas decorations are due for taking down.

Hey Karl,! those christmas decorations are due for taking down.

Yea my wife and my son took them down Saturday. This picture was taken on Friday morning. Dieselman nice ride! I owned a 2002 Dodge quad, I sold and bought my 06 Dodge HEMI Charger. I am a Dodge, Mopar man for sure.

Charger?

Oh, I remember back in the day of my first Mopar, the Dodge Crestwood. No, it wasn't fancy, and it wasn't all that, but it got me from place to place. I was constantly replacing starters on it.
That was basically the only thing I didn't like about the Mopar, the sound of the bendix when the starter engaged. You can't mistake it.
But I must admit, my best friends' Road Runner was the fastest car to date that every laid my head in the back seat and scared the living daylights out of me. He could put a beer can at the front tire, pop the clutch and actually jump over it without touching it. He made a lot of money in the back parking lot at school to those who bet he couldn't do it.........man, what an awesome car. And it looked good too!
