We put in at lake houston, and plan on moving much closer. We are there almost weekly during the summer months. We have YET to figure out how to get to kingwood from the lake. We keep hitting sandbars, or just get into really shallow water and turn around before it gets less than 3 feet.
Anybody know how to do it, or just how to navigate an unknown body of water at ALL? We would like to navigate up the other fork toward huffman, as well, but never tried it yet. Figured Kingwood would be the easier trek, as it is on the main river and much closer.
