1997 XP oil seal replacement. HELP! 787 800

How do I swap this out?? Can’t figure out how to pop it off.

Get old one out with seal puller. Try not to nick any surfaces.

Drive new seal in evenly with something that matches diameter--PVC
pipe, big ole socket from pawnshop, etc.

Save your money on the seal puller. Just use a deep well socket that fits in the from other side. Then cut a little 2x4 nugget and tap the new seal in. Put a paper towel over it so nothing gets in the seal. Then smear the lip is the seal that rides on the crank so when you start it up it's not dry.

Or use a screwdriver to get the old seal out, again from the other side

Is it just glued down in there and I have to scrape it out or what? I’m just confused on how it comes out then how do I put the new one in?

It's just pressed in and held in by friction. No glue or anything special.
