Nice one, thanks for the reply on my questions. I’m a total noob to jet skis (obviously or I’d never have ended up buying this thing lol) so I’m sure I’ll have many silly questions but you guys were really helpful on my first post so thank you for that.
GOOD MORNING I AM IN NEED OF A GAUGE DEFLECTOR FOR A 1996 SEA DOO GTX PLEASE HELP ALL THE AFTER MARKET ONES DO NOT MATCH THE COLOR THANK YOU.
Hi you help me back in 2012 when I first start boating, with a 1995 Speedster. I writing to say that I think I found problem with the reverse function of this boat. If you look at a 1800 or even a 1997 speedster you will see that sea-doo place a block plate on each reverse gate one on each inter side where water norming comes out when in reverse. this force the water to come out outer side only. It reverse now
where did you mount the transducer? have a 2009 speedster 150 and just bought new Garmin echomap 93sv that has a transom mount-cv52. as you know, the transom area on these boats doesn't give you many options. and a real issue to get the cable inside the hull without drilling holes, which I hate. I was going to do a shoot thru the hull set up but told it will not work for a SV or DV transducer? Thanks.
where can i find a new or used engine alignment bar and pump style or other , close to Winnipeg mb. any shops out here or someone have an old one they d like to part with
I was wondering if someone could help me identify this EDC, i bought it a few years ago and i dont know what seadoo it goes to. Thank you. It says Rotax 664566, then it says siemans VDO, 664961 5WP22450. It is one of the smaller ones from the 4 strokes.

TYLER THANKS
Hey 10forty2,

quick question I've been at the boat and hooking up that dual battery setup, can you remember how you wired the switch going from the stock switch to the blue sea one? I am seeing a red and black wire going to 1 post and another red wire going to the second post, just curious how you hooked up your Blue sea 4 post switch for the dual battery.

thanks in advanced

Howdy! Unfortunately, I haven't done the job yet. I have the kit and have looked it over, but have not installed it yet. At this point, I probably won't take the time to do it either, because I'm probably going to sell my Speedster. Nothing wrong with it, it just isn't my style of boat. I'm more of a center console fishing boat than a corvette on water. Second part of my reply on another message.

I had planned on replacing the OEM switch with the Blue Sea switch and connecting both batteries to it. I don't think there's any need to use the OEM switch in that configuration.

Hey guys I'm looking for some recommendations on my project:
2007 Sea-Doo wake 215-flywheel bolts sheered off.
Replacement parts list:
Arp flywheel bolts
Magneto/stator (OK to buy used??)
Crankshaft thrust washer set
Gasket kit
Main bearing set
Rocker arm/head bolts
Should the timing chain be replaced? Doesn't appear damaged
Anything to know that the service manual doesn't tell you?
Add or subtract anything?

Yeah, I would. And yes, if you were under tow, you should pinch off your water inlet from the pump. I believe the manual says less than 5 mph, your good, but over that, you'll fill the exhaust system with water, till it dumps over into your exhaust ports. Sounds like you got a handle on it. Your description, your resolution, sounds great. I would also want to know the root cause, don't want to replace parts again.

Apparently seadoo was still using the old style flywheel bolts in 2007, I believe that was the problem, they backed out, pushed into the magneto and sheered off. Everything else looks so good I considered replacing the necessary bolts and putting it back together. I've since decided to rebuild with new parts, I'll post pics, would love to get some opinions.

Unfortunately, I don't see a way to post pictures. Seadoosnipe, you said replace timing chain and gears which is what I'm planning to do but have a question. It looks like the 2 gears on the crankshaft are pressed on, can those be replaced?
Hello, I have 2 XP DI's I just picked up. I read that you can suppy/sell the Candoo Pro? Do you have any used ones?
What do they cost? thanks for your time... Mike
Good evening everyone. Noob here to this forum and jet skis, just bought my first one. 96 Sea-Doo sp. Been sitting outside rotting for 3 years or so. I think I’m hooked and haven’t had it in the water yet. Lol

very addictive my friend. First thing you'll want to do, check that all the cables are free. Second, get a battery on it, then pop off the spark plug wire, and check it for spark. IF you have spark, then it's def worth working on. Good luck!
just acquired a 1995 gtx sea doo, been setting for years with very low hours. flushed fuel tank, oil tank was filled. After got it running then applied water to fitting. ran for a while then started popping the 5 amp fuse. Applied a new ground cable to the block and fuse popped again, unplugged stater plug, fuse never popped. any help ?

Did you jump this ski off with another vehicle that was running? When you jump off these skis with another vehicle, it can't be running. A alternator puts out 14 volts, a car that isn't running, puts out around 12. If you jumped with that car running, you fed power backward through the MPEM backward, causing it to blow that 5 amp fuse. There is a diode in that MPEM, that if I'm remembering right, is now bad.
Hey nice build. I was just curious if you had the cut files for the carbon fiber ignition plate? I want to do the same with mine just wit red. Cheers
