I'm guessing that I do not have to use the stock piston pin needle bearing spacers on my new WSM pistons
I say this because I have bought a set of SBT caged piston pin bearings and when I use the stock spacers on either side of the cage,it won't fit into the pin area of the piston.
I'm guessing the the reason the spacers are there is to keep the stock loose needles from floating out the side if the con rod...not good.

Please confirm as I'm getting itchy to fire this puppy up.

There will be about 0.100 inch sideways but the round part should be tight on the pin and into the rod end, use some kind of oil when putting these sliding parts together so you can slide easier when you get to the rotary valve plate alignment.

Thanks for the confirmation everyone invloved. These are definetely not tight so how much play is ok?
I realize that all the parts will expand with heat and some slack is necessary for assembly reasons.
