What the FOG?

You spray an aerosol lubricant into each cylinder to coat it and protect from rust. It is really only needed if it is going to be in storage for long periods of time in very cold climates.

Thanks for the reply! So you just spray it into the spark plug holes? Does anyone reccommend a brand or type of "aerosol lubricant".

bombardier makes fogging oil (might be called storage oil)

i will be using that in the winter

fogging oil

just wanted to ask i have seadoo and kaw 250 ultra with turbo was told by kaw mech to spray fogging oil in turbo breather box every time i ride in salt water stated mist was hurting turbos . when flushing use to quick squirts in box to keep it running free

Yes through the spark plug holes. WD40 works well too and it sprobably a lot cheaper than the OEM stuff. For salt water its not a bad idea to spray down the entire engine compartment with a light coat of WD40. Make sure you let the fumes vent out before attempting to start it up.

fogging oil

no i use the fogging oil while motor is running spraying into air box so it will get on turbine blades as told by kaw mech. they stated salt would build up on blades and change the weight tearing up turbine

It's not just for cold climates. It's mostly if you aren't going to be riding it for a while like over the winter. While it's running you spray the oil in the airbox for a minute or so or until the motor dies out. After that, you can remove the spark plugs and spray down there. It's so your motor doesn't rust from any water that's still in there. I use seafoam aerosol spray.
