First time jetboat owner of a 2008 Speedster 150, 215hp and wondering what is missing in the picture here.

It's the reverse bucket hook. Parts 19 - 21 circled below:

Oh thank you. What does it do? I have been in my boat for 2 weeks and without it there have been no problems.

I believe it locks the buckets in the up position when going WOT to prevent reverse suddenly being engaged should the buckets drop or a cable snap.

You should probably fix it as fixing it probably way cheaper than what you'll be fixing should it drop down when under way.
