Wetjet duo 300 engine mounts??

G'day guys, picked up a 95 duo 300 for the missus to putt around on, but it's in need of 2 x right/starboard side engine mounts.
From what I've found they are supposed to be the same as a 717 xp mount.
These are totally different than my xp
Anyone have any idea?
Maybe a Yamaha of some sort as its a Yamaha 701 engine

As I recall... that has a Yamaha engine. BUT... the picture you posted isn't a Yamaha mount.

Unfortunately... I'm not sure who made it. But, if you find them, let us know what it was.

Ok, I had no luck with finding the right mounts, but just incase there may be someone with the same issue I thought I'd let you know how I overcame it.

I'm still not sure if these were an original set up.
The original by the parts manual look like this
However, mine look like this.

Now, I know I could have drilled 2 more holes and mounted the original back in there, but at nearly $100 shipped (plus probably 2 weeks wait)
I decided to take a different route.

I went through an automotive mount book and found the closest mount I could find.
(they are engine mounts from a Mazda Titon)


The original female thread on my mounting plate was 1/2 unc, the new male thread on the mount is M10x1.25.

So I had to put some keyserts in to bring it back from 1/2 to M10


So this is what it looks like with the inserts fitted (before the pins were tapped flush)

The new mounts had to have about 3mm taken off as they protruded a fraction and had to have a little lug taken off each side


And with the new mounts on


Mounts, $15 each
Keyserts,I stock heaps but I guess about $7 each.

Lots cheaper than buying new mounts and mounting plates.

So now I'm good to go test it out

I hope someday this may be helpful to someone out there.
