Water in engine

Hey folk. Just a question but did anyone experience their engine filling with water... on the trailer with a hose hooked up to it? Like wow. The engine just filled to a point where it filled the whole engine. I have two of the same machines. Hook up one and start it no problem but the other... hahahaha pulled the plugs and it was like a night at Ceasars Palace

Yes and no. I was trying to start it but before I started it, I turned on the water. I'm thinking that was a mistake

I rebuilt lots of these engines but this is my first water craft. All the rotax engines I've built were in the snow machines. Old school 464's everest and blizzards also RV's in the race sleds but these engines in boats behave a little different as I'm just finding out

You have to start the engine first,,,then you can allow water to enter the system
