Wake towers

The wake tower is pulling you upward (helping you up on starts and tricks) where the tow hook is pulling you straight or downward. You can still jump wakes without the tower but if you really want get crazy with tricks you need a tower. I'd see if you can try it behind a boat with a tower first before you drop the cash. You may be just content of the hook.

I've never tried boarding with a tower, always been the standard tow hook behind conventional i/o boats. Looking at a couple sportsters to buy right now and one of them has the tower and the other doesn't. Not sure if the tower would get in my way and annoy me as wakeboarding isn't the primary purpose of the boat I get..... but they look cool!
