I am looking to redo the entire boat but I really want to just get through this season before gutting it.

One of the issues is the back seats have plastic pegs that have all failed. Currently securing them in place with tape and rope but would like some better options...

On the Speedster I used to have, which used the same type of fasteners to hold the seats, I really wanted to be able to remove the seat bottoms to clean underneath and let the foam dry out. After some other ideas, I ended up using a strip of 3M Marine Dual Lock on them which is a heavy-duty Velcro type material. Unlike regular Velcro, this holds positively in place and has worked out well for me. I do have to replace it periodically but it does it let me take the cushions in and out and is plenty solid when they are in.
