I have question re Bill86s carb adjustment thread. On my 95 657 GTX I am experiencing a loss of power at 3/4 throttle. My HS screws are turned out 1/8 turn out. The ski feels like it's bogging down and then picking up speed after a few seconds. Do I really need to turn them in? The manual also states that you should not go past the adjustment caps setting of 1/4 turn out. Well, my carbs do not have these caps and Bill's post states that max fuel is 3 turns out. How many turns out is the average for these HS screws?

On most seadoo carbs... they are jetted proper, and you run the HS closed. On a 95 GTX... they should be open 1/4 turn. So... you are on the lean side for factory spec. But... if you have a dead spot... I would say, it's time to open the carbs, and give them a cleaning.

Turned out the HS screw until it ran strong at all throttle positions. My HS screws are out 1/3 now and performs like a champ! Thanks again Doc!
