Trailer Wiring - I am stumped

By the way: the result of the thread was a short in the running light circuit. The insulation was worn off of the wire that ran from the trailer lights to the rear marker lights (3 small lights on the rearmost crossmember of my boat trailer) and it was grounding to the trailer frame.

You have an old trailer it's just better to buy the kit with lights and wires. Saves your sanity!

I pulled a new wiring harness and rewired the lights with heat shrink, waterproof butt connectors. Problem solved. They all work perfectly.
