I am considering adding bow guides to my Karavan trailer for my 2009 Challenger 180SE .
I don't really have a problem loading now, but it seems like a good feature for loading in currents. There are several guides on the market. I have been looking at a roller type at Bass Pro Sports. The only thing that concerns me is that with the shape of this boat with wider part being in front of the trailer wheels, will the bow guide really help that much?
I am assuming the guides should be placed where the wide part is once loaded, but maybe not - further back at the max boat width spacing may be better. If the guides are up near the front, won't the stern float sideways in the current? What experience have others had? Where in relation to the trailer wheels/axle should the guides be placed for this particular boat?
