new top end HP + 11 year old crank = gonna have a bad day... overhaul the whole engine and get another 11 years out of it.

I'm keeping this seadoo, it is too good to pass up and i enjoy it! prob gonna get a new top end and get er back going out on the water!

I certainly didn't mean to get rid of it, I'm suggesting you overhaul the WHOLE engine including the crank, so that you don't have a crank failure in 2-3 years or sooner... if the engine is out of the ski, do ALL the work now, and get another 11 years of use from it.

yes, i've been preaching that hymn forever ! no point in only going in half way, especially w/ a 951 crank, when those blow, they tend to blow in spectacular fashion !

yea, gonna wait til summer is over to re do the whole thing... i don't want to lose another weekend considering i just put my seadoo out last week... il make it my project for winter!

I agree with Leary. When my crank messed up, I wound up having to rebuild the whole engine. Set me back 1000 big ones on my 96 XP.

really.... ya gonna check into that soon, but if my compression is fine and everything is good, then i aint doing nothing to it
