I have found a 2003 RX that is suppose to have extremely low hrs and looks like new, very little wear. It was supposedly the "extra" ski on a houseboat for years. What they are asking sounds like a decent deal to me... but after reading some on this forum about the problems DI systems have I'm wondering if it would be worth the $ in the long run. I have seen several people post that they can be "expensive" when/if problems occur, but no estimates.

Just want to know the ballpark repairs are in (if needed) and what would be too good to pass up. They have offered to meet me at the lake this week to try it out.

If DIs are too much of a pain, what 2-3 seater skis would you all suggest??

Thanks for any help guys!!

It's completely up to you. The Di skis don't have any known issues, or parts that fail for no reason... but when something goes wrong... they get expensive VERY quick. Also... low hours in some ways... is worse than a high hour ski. The reason is... it sits, ready to use... but fuel goes bad, and seals dry out because of it. And finally... sometimes... they are very hard to diagnose with you have a small issue.

Personally, unless you are getting it dang near for free... just look for a ski with carbs.
