We are getting a gully washer this morning and the lake is up to 129.61 normal is 131. We need to put some distance between the surface and the stumps that are now submerged from the last set of rains. Last weekend I started to see more boats venturing out onto the water. The temperature down here has been nice, its been around 65 to 75 degrees. The warmer days have had a long lasting fog lurking around late in the day.

Wont be long!!!

Too bad they couldn't have removed the stumps during the low water level time.

I know, just drop your grappling hook type anchor and hit the throttle.......:)

There was someone in the area that was marking the stumps by driving in rebar and then placing a piece of pvc pipe onto it. That great if its sticking out of the water, but the were marking them with about 4ft pvc when the lake was 4-5 ft low. someone is going to dive off a boat and get skewered.

WOW, that's no good. They should go back and tie a buoy on them.

We sometimes mark them in the late fall then go back out when the lake is frozen nice and thick and pull them out with a winch.

Of course Texas lakes don't freeze over....maybe a barge with a winch.

Waiting on the rain to make its way down from Crockett...almost here
