Happy Summer (and 4th of July) to all!

I've owned my 02 GTX DI for a little over a year now, and haven't had exactly the most favorable of ownership experiences. The latest $600 repair bill for stator/battery swap out, and now every code in the book is being thrown (diagnosed as a wiring hardness), and I'm done to three solutions.

A) I cut my losses (extensive) and move on to bigger and better things.

B) I go out on a limb and invest more $$$ into this wiring harness or...

C) I swap out this 951 DI for a simpler carb motor instead (premix preferred).

So I ask all of you, after replacing the Regulator, stator, fuel pump, TPS and battery and still not having a jet skit that will leave the infamous "MAINT" mode, what would you do? How feasible are those carb swaps?

a carb swap isn't an option with that ski. You would still need all the electronics associated with the carb engine.

Di skis are great when they are running. But, they are expensive, and hard to work on. I know the "In's and Out's" with those skis, and I still wouldn't own one.

I guess if I was in your position... I would probably part it out. If you try to sell it not running... I doubt you will get more than $1k for it. But... if you part it out... you will make +$3k for it.

Then... buy the same ski in the "Limited" (carb) version.

I wasn't aware that you could get so much for them parted out. I guess using the forums and eBay are the best bets?
Thank's for the reply/insight. I do very much appreciate the feedback.
