K everyone, everything is finalized and registration for the 3rd annual 2014 Wisconsin Dells Freeride is open!

See post #1 of this thread for the website link and the phone number. You'll need to call the campground number to make your reservations, and you'll be talking to Rhonda. Just let her know you're booking for the Badgerland Jet Pilots Freeride.

As for the details you need to know at this point (before booking your reservation):

1) Event dates are Thursday May 29th through Sunday June 1st. Feel free to book any/all, but keep in mind that the raffle will be on Saturday night and the optional paddleboat ride will be Friday night.

2) Relaxed check in/check out as listed above.

3) ATVs/pit bikes as listed above. Use your brain, please. Don't act a fool ...

4) Additional frontage/docking, pretty much as listed above. We probably won't get extra floating piers to the left of the launch, but there will be a bunch of vacant floating piers near the shoreline (to the right of the launch). Everyone with a sit down, or any skis that can be floated and tied to a dock, should use the pier space as much as possible - to avoid clogging the frontage needed for stand ups.

5) Cabin Rates = 10% OFF the standard rates if booked by APRIL 1st (NOT May 1st). Yes, this is a month sooner than previous years, but the cabins were nearly sold out in March last year. Also, for stays of 3 nights or more, you will get 50% OFF your LAST NIGHT ONLY. In other words, book by 3 nights by April 1st and get 10% off 2 nights and 50% off 1 night. Book 4 nights by April 1st and get 10% off 3 nights and 50% off 1 night. That's the deal.

6) RV Rates = same as cabins = 10% OFF the standard rates if booked by APRIL 1st (NOT May 1st). Yes, this is a month sooner than previous years. Also, for stays of 3 nights or more, you will get 50% OFF your LAST NIGHT ONLY.

7) Tent Camping Rates = $18 per person per night if booked by APRIL 1st. Also, for stays of 3 nights or more, you will get 50% OFF your LAST NIGHT ONLY. If you wait to book your tent camping until after April 1st, your rate will be $22 per person per night.

8) Meal Plan = essentially the same as last year = $25 per person, gets you the breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday AND your dinner at the raffle on Saturday night. (NO PIG ROAST this year, sorry, but I promise to keep working on the idea, and I'll try to make it happen next year.) You will need to book your food plan when you book your cabin/campsite. They will be offering 2 or 3 timeframes for the breakfast buffet (as described above) while supplies last. This will help to prevent the issue of everyone showing up for breakfast at 8am sharp & then having to sit and wait. As for the quality of the food, ask anyone who has been there, it has been excellent. You will have no problem stuffing yourself at breakfast and then wanting to crawl back in your tent and take a nap . The Saturday night dinner will be served buffet style, and I'm still working with the campground on what the entrees will be, but I'm sure the quality will be excellent. Simply put, $25 for the 3 meals, served right next to your cabin/campsite is a freakin' deal & super convenient. Most people will load up at breakfast, then ride all day, maybe have a mid-day snack, and then load up again at dinner. You seriously won't need to cook all weekend if you buy the Meal Plan.

9) The optional paddleboat ride will be on Friday night. The current plan is to have the boat leave around 4pm and return by 7pm. The price will be $10 per person (their standard price is $25) and it will include minimal snacks - chips & dip, salsa, etc... There will be a 50 person minimum for the paddleboat ride to happen, so be sure to tell Rhonda when you book if you're going to do the paddleboat ride. If we want additional snacks on the paddleboat ride (like a large cheese & cracker tray & veggies & dip trays), we can add them later, for a couple bucks per person more. We'll talk about that later, once it looks like enough people are signing up for the paddleboat. There is a CASH BAR on the boat. As for the Friday night dinner, you're on your own - Fish Frys in the bar are excellent, and there will be time after the paddleboat ride to get one, or if you don't ride the boat, you can get your Fish Fry while the boat is out and about. The Fish Frys are excellent.

10) Extra staffing this year. Assuming they've got enough bartenders to serve us, please buy your drinks in the bar while in the bar - no carry ins.

There it is folks, as far as the campground stuff is concerned. Go ahead and start booking. Make sure you understand their payment policies. If memory serves, they'll take a credit card for a 50% deposit over the phone & then want cash for the balance when you check in.

If you need anymore info dont hesitate to ask me!
