I am trying to make sure I am testing my 4 wire dess correctly. It is on a 2003 xpdi. The ski has no power. The black/purple wire going to the dess have 12v when the key is off. This is also the same wire that goes to the cut-off relay and mpem. When this wire is grounded the mpem powers up. On the dess there is a black wire that is a ground and then the black with purple. When the keys is on should the be continuity between the two wires? If i jump the two wires (black and black with purple) they ski works great key works ect ect. I just want to make sure that when the key is put on the black and black with purple wires are joined. I think my switch is bad I just want to double check.
