I have a 2001 GTX RFI. I had the engine rebuilt recently. When I got it back from the mechanic, it was missing one of a two-piece black styrofoam unit that was wedged between the left inside hull and the top of the engine. The one piece I found (just laying loosely in the engine compartment) is stamped with Part Number 294 000 298. I cannot find this part number ANYWHERE. I would like to replace this styrofoam brace as it really helped to reduce engine vibration, especially at low rpm and through acceleration. Is anyone out there familiar with this styrofoam unit? Does anyone know where I can get a replacement. My mechanic threw this back to me and said he just couldn't help me (ouch). Hope one of you can!! Thanks.
