i just put on a new starter from overtons, last week. Just got back from the lake with the seadoo. flushed motor started fine. I was spraying some w-d 40 around engine compartment, and wiping around, anyway, i went to start it 1 more time and the bendix would not engage. just like the old starter did before.
did i get a bum starter or is something else wrong?

I wouldn't jump the gun and blame the starter.
Look at your earth and positive feed wires from your battery.
These wires corrode and give less voltage to the starter.
Feel the wires and if there hot...............there not doing the job.
Replace them and try it.
A good tip is to replace them with jump leads but fabricate the ends for the battery and engine conections.
Good luck and keep us informed.
And welcome to the forum.;)
