I don't have a wakeboard tower, I really don't want one as I find the pole works well enough and I like not hitting my head on things. That said I do really like the idea of rear-facing speakers. I have zones running JL Audio and my 6.5's are loud as hell with the amp. I was wondering if anyone ever dropped 2 6.5's in or near the red locations in my image. Or for that matter came up with another creative solution aside from buying a tower and adding tower speakers. I have seen some badass and very creative systems in these boats so I assume one of you might have some thoughts.

I would never put a hole in the hull anywhere near the water line for something like a speaker.

Also, take a piece of wood 6.5 inches long and stick it there, I would guess that area is far from flat.

I think the wake tower with speakers is your best bet.

Just my opinion.
