Should I clean out my internal carb filters?

Just wondering because I have this thing half torn apart at the moment. I don't want to pop the fuel pump cover/diaphram off only to find out the gaskets are $20/each and mine were fine or worse yet no longer available.

The boat ran pretty good before I tore into it...we pulled it apart to get oil injection working, fuel gauge, bilge pump and to swap the carbon seals on the driveshafts.

Yes... if you have the carbs off... go a head and clean out the pump, and filters. All the carb parts are available. Some of the parts are a little expensive... but you are better off looking into them now, rather than having to take them off again.
