Hello,

Looking for some advice on the Islandia, 2007. Twin 155 v-tech.

I found one for sale, One engine blown and the other at 200hrs.

My main questions,

Can I upgrade these motors, if so what too (straight swap). If not, what the latest year they made the 155hp that I should be looking for.

What other known issues should I be looking for.

Is the drive train, prop etc specific to these boats.

Anything else to know pre purchase.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Unless you're getting an amazing deal, I'd walk away. Do you really want to go through the headache of repowering a boat?

There's gotta be better boats out there that would require a lot less work to get them going than the one you are describing.

It one of barley any in australia. Rare and cheap. Repairs are easy for me. Just need advice to save days of research

Barley in Australia? We Canajans like our barley here too! That project may eventually drive you to the hard stuff, but be great if you pull it off. The compatibility of the computer and the replacement engine may be crucial - also the whole exhaust cooling plumbing is important - perhaps it is OK from the damaged one. Repairing the damaged engine more practical?
