Hello Everyone, I'm Eduardo from Mexico City, this is my first time in this great forum. This is the story: I bought from a friend a RX 951cc 2001 in a very good price, unfortunatelly due to the distance (Chiapas), I couldn't take the chace to test it, my friend told me watercraft was in working condition, but needing manteinance and to fix some things, so considering the price I did take the risk and ask him to send it to me.
I just got it days ago, and now I want to check/repair every single thing before to take it to Acapulco, so I will need your help to do it.
This is what I have found so far:
1) No oil tank, it is running premixed, for the posts I have rode here, I can say this is not a problem because 951 cc engine do not have the rotary valve which needs to be oiled, is that correct?
2)It has oem grey fuel lines. I'm will repalce them with Goodyear fuel lines. I found 2 of the lines disconected from the fuel baffle, I connected them, but I want to make sure the correct position of all lines, where can I get a fuel system diagram?
3) I connected a brand new battery on it, in order to check how many hours on it, but no power in the gauges. What I have to check to make them light up and work?
4) VTS system is there but is dead.
5) I connected the key, I got 2 short beeps and I have strong crank but does not start, seems a gas delivery problem to me, because I added some fresh premixed fuel directly on carbs an it fire up inmediatly until gas run out. which is the best way to check if the carb pumps are working or is a blogged line or the fuel baffle?
What I have to do first?, the Idea is going step by step whit your help, and keep you updated with pics etc.
Thanks
